Love the Lord Your God with all Your Heart.... Soul.... Mind....Strength

I used to believe that if I just "believed in Him(Jesus), renounced my sins (asked for forgiveness), and do the believer's baptism" that I didn't need to do anything else and the Jesus would just cause me to change or even at times thought I didn't need to change since he full filled everything all ready. Little did I know that the words Believing and Love were not thoughts or emotions, its not a feeling.... it is actually a complete and total action taken with actual choices being made.
When I choose to do something physically it shows that I believe in it.
For example: if the scriptures teach me what a Christ filled' life should look like and I choose to follow those scriptures; I have made the choice to believe in the scriptures as being a direct authority of God, and since I love Him I will choose to obey Him.
On a comparable note: If I find out that Daniel desires something from me, that would ultimately show him that I love him; should I do my own thing and say well he knows I love him so that's what matters? Or should I do what his request is and show him that I truly love him by following through with the action he requested?
The same way we should be with God.
He has laid out His plans and desires for us, He has even told us that if we love Him we will do those things in which He requested of us.

What exactly did he request of us, to show Him that we truly do love Him?

I pray that you the reader will be blessed by these scriptures. I pray that your minds are open to learning new things and seeing the true Character of God and His divine plan for you in your life. Always seek God, ask for His Holy Spirit to help teach, guide, and convict you.. every time you sit down to read the Holy Scriptures. Please don't take my word for any of the following scriptures. I would also suggest using another version of the Bible to go along with this; it makes the study so much more in depth. Another suggestion for those who love truth so much, I would suggest using a Strong's concordance to pick apart the meaning of each word. Remember scripture will harmonize with each other 100% when you make sure the definition you accept is n sync with the rest. If you don't have a Strong's Concordance please check out e-sword.net for a free computer download. Download is King Jame's Version, but you can also download many other Bible versions for free or for a small fee. The version I am using is:

(New American Standard Version)

Joh 14:12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
Joh 14:13 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14 "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
Joh 14:15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Joh 14:16 "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
Joh 14:17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

Note: Scripture doesn't leave room for debate if you truly come to it with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will never lead 2 people into different paths or beliefs. Confusion comes from Satan never God.

Joh 14:20 "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
Joh 14:21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him." (Since Jesus full filled the Law we now can keep the Law, since Jesus Christ is now living in us it is Him keeping the law through us.)
Before Jesus' Death and Assention to Heaven, we didn't have the Holy Spirit helping us, we were trying to keep the Law on our own which never worked. Now we have Salvation through Jesus, not in the keeping of the Law, but because He is now living with in us we can keep the Law... A Holy Spirit filled person will not be led by the Holy Spirit to do what is unlawful.
If there isn't a law, there couldn't be sin. For what could we charge against someone with out having a guide to go by.

What is the Commandments?

Mat 22:36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?"
Mat 22:37 And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.
Mat 22:38 "This is the great and foremost commandment.
Mat 22:39 "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'
Mat 22:40 "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

What is the whole law and Prophets?
Ever heard of the Torah? It is the first 5 books of the Old Testament. Did you know that the 10 Commandments are contained there also, along with many 0ther laws that are still in effect today. So does that mean that all 10 commandments are still in effect today? I sure would think so. Personally I could never take that to mean that any part of the Law was permissible to break. I seriously doubt that any of you think that murder is now permitted; its a Law contained with the 10. Some might say "but He full filled the Law so now we don't have to". Are you serious? Did you actually say that?

Mat 5:16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Mat 5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
Mat 5:18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Mat 5:19 "Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Seriously go out side and look, has heaven and earth passed away? Not sure about you but I am not yet in Heaven. So then may I ask do you really believe that any of the 10 Commandments can be done away with?

What exactly are the 10 Commandments?

Exo 20:1 Then God spoke all these words, saying,
Exo 20:2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
Exo 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me.
Exo 20:4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
Exo 20:5 "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,
Exo 20:6 but showing loving kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Exo 20:7 "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
Exo 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 "Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.
Exo 20:11 "For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Exo 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
Exo 20:13 "You shall not murder.
Exo 20:14 "You shall not commit adultery.
Exo 20:15 "You shall not steal.
Exo 20:16 "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Exo 20:17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

Which Command is always forgotten in our modern day churches and even taught that its okay to break or that it was changed? Its the only one in Which God specifically said to Remember. Isn't that strange to you?

Exo 31:13 "But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My Sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
Exo 31:14 'Therefore you are to observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Exo 31:15 'For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.
Exo 31:16 'So the sons of Israel shall observe the Sabbath, to celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.'
Exo 31:17 "It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed."
Exo 31:18 When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

Who is Israel? What people is he really speaking to? The Jews? I think not. The 4th Commandment concerning the Sabbath was established in the Garden of Eden on the First week and was made Holy by the Lord Himself. Did you know that sin hadn't even entered humans yet? So the Sabbath could not have been made to set apart Jews from the rest of the world, sin that hadn't taken place yet. He made Sabbath a day for all human race starting with Adam in the Garden as a perpetual sign that we belong to Him. So again I ask who is Israel? And what does stone mean to you? It definitely doesn't sound like something that can be done away with.

Rom 2:25 For indeed circumcision is of value if you practice the Law; but if you are a transgressor of the Law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
Rom 2:26 So if the uncircumcised man keeps the requirements of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
Rom 2:27 And he who is physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the Law, will he not judge you who though having the letter of the Law and circumcision are a transgressor of the Law?
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.

So spiritually speaking if we the uncircumcised (gentile) keep the Law we have then become the Jew (Israel) inwardly. We the Christians are His people, we are to keep his Laws, even the Sabbath; for the Sabbath was the only one ever spoken of as a perpetual sign that we belong to Him forever. So out of the 10 Commandments given; the 4th Commandment was the only one in which He said to Remember. Specifically since it was something He already made from the beginning but also because He knew that it would be something we would need to remember in a time where it is almost forgotten.

Did you ever notice how so many denominations are formed out of opinions (doctrines of Men, rather than the doctrines of Scripture)?

Mar 7:5 The Pharisees and the scribes *asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?"
Mar 7:6 And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME.
Mar 7:7 'BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.'
Mar 7:8 "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men."
Mar 7:9 He was also saying to them, "You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.

Do any of us Christians serve God while keeping the traditions of Man? This will be my next blog post. But for now please continue.

Mat 19:17 And He said to him, "Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."
Mat 19:18 Then he *said to Him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS;
Mat 19:19 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."

So which Commandments was He speaking of? From the reference in this passage we know it was the 10 Commandments. If we are to enter Life everlasting, we must keep them. How are we to keep them? Well Jesus was our example while a man here on earth. So we will continue this study from one issue to the next until all questions are answered.

Questions to be answered on topics coming up.

So do you really know what day is the Biblical Sabbath?

Ever been curious as to why you go on Sunday the 1st day of the week instead of the 7th day (Saturday)?

If you would, do me a favor; do a Bible search for every time the 1st day (Sunday) of the week was mentioned in the New Testament, and make a small report as of what you learned about each instance.

When your done please check back here for my new blog titled:
I forgot the day was changed!

My third blog will cover "what did Jesus full fill at His death?" It's so much deeper than most believe and they actually use some of it to do away with part of God's Law.

Thank you for reading and come back again soon.
